A Ladybug Baby Shower

This weekend, I had the pleasure of helping host a ladybug baby shower for a dear friend. This is her first girl baby, and I had a blast figuring out all of the details for this shower. I love all of the polka dot elements, and the black, red, and white backdrop. As this is a shower for a little lady, I added pink and green in the color scheme just to soften the touch a bit. We have some talented friends that helped host the shower, so the food selection was amazing. The guest of honor's husband added a chocolate touch to the shower. Another friend, who offered her house to host the shower, provided a creative touch with shower games. Not your typical run of the mill shower games, which I just loved. The first game was to guess the famous mothers, the second to choose which features from each parent the mother would like the baby to have, and the last game the mother had to guess the Disney Princesses from clues given. Did you know that the Little Mermaid was a mother? I certainly didn't know that. Apparently, it was on the second Little Mermaid movie, in which I did not know there was a second movie either. I suppose I am just not up and with it when it comes to the Disney Princesses. I suppose that's what happens when your surrounded by boys ;-). Well, here are just a few pics from the shower, and once again, my good friend Wendy dazzled us with another spectacular cake!

Welcome to the Ladybug Baby Shower!

The Way of the Warrior Ceremony

My husband is such an awesome man of God! He lead a bible study for the 6th and 7th grade boys at our church. The study was called the way of the warrior. The gals had their own study as well, the way of the warrior princess. My husband wrote the curriculum for the boys, and did a marvelous job, I must say. It was a four week course. The last week they had a knighting ceremony for the boys. My husband asked if I could decorate the ceremony and take pictures. Of course I jumped at the opportunity. Never mind the fact that it was the same weekend as the birthday party I had already been planning. Nonetheless, both parties turned out flawless, and exceptionally beautiful. Enjoy the pictures! What a great way to set an atmosphere to speak into the boys' lives!

The Ceremony:

The Cakes:
My friend, Wendy made these cakes as well. The words, Integrity, Honor, Loyalty, and Courage, were the topics the kids learned each week.

The Knighting Ceremony:
Each boy was knighted with this authentic British Officer's Sword, and then given a ring engraved with the qualities of a man of God.

We were so proud that our son got to be a part of this!

A Princess Birthday Party

This summer has been full of party planning, and I have loved every bit of it! A good friend of mine requested help for her daughters 6th and 9th birthday party. Yep it was a sister party combo, and I was up for the challenge. Knowing me, I can't just settle for the run of the mill Princess Party.

Welcome to the Princess Party!

Let's go have a Princess Manicure:

After that, we can become princess fashion designers, and design our very own shirts!

Now it's time for our photo shoot! The Princess Party Photo booth was a success!

It's time for tea, but first, let's sing Happy Birthday to the Birthday Princesses. My friend did a spectacular job on the cake!

Gifts and Favors!

It was a fun royal celebration! I can't wait for my next planning adventure!
